Hello there, My name is Mabel and I am just about 8 years old, but do not let that full you I can keep up with my younger friends, just means I am a bit wiser. When I arrived at MHS back on the 9th of June, I was a little lost and confused! I had been found wandering Makawao looking for my family. One thing I was pretty certain of was that they were still searching for me, plus I thought, a few nights at the shelter would get some food in my belly and a roof over my head! Well 80+ days have passed and while I have gained more than just food and shelter (I have a ton of new friends both two and four legged!), I am still awaiting a Forever Family to call my own, only now I am here in the NW hoping the plane ride was all I needed to my forever family, but I have still been waiting 48 days. I'm a bit of a tender heart and can come across a little sad, with my intense caramel eyes, it's not difficult to draw people in. My trouble is getting them to spend that extra bit of time getting to know me. I am a lady on my leash, and always polite when meeting new dogs, I do great for my baths and even let the groomer paint my nails.
