Ben is a 1 year 8 mon old German Short Hair Pointer Mix that is once again looking for his forever home. Ben originally came from Maui but is back with use due to his owners not having the time to care for him or want him anymore. In the year that Ben has been gone life has not been very easy, he was picked on by the other dog in home, he jumped out of the bed of pick up truck, not properly restrained, chasing after a bird, only to be hit by a car in the process. Ben just about lost his back leg at the knee. Thankfully after two weeks of care in hospice he can use it. Unfortunately though, that was where the care ended and he was back to be left either outside or in the garage for the vast majority of the time. Ben may have issues with arthritis when he is older, as we all might, he does have some yummy vitamins doctor has asked us to give him to help him recover and stabilize. He will more then likely need these for the remainder of his life. Despite it all, Ben is a beautiful bundle of fun! This gorgeous pup LOVES people! When he is not making friends he is eager to earn treats. He is leash/crate trained and has lived with other medium to large dogs,cats and children he just loves their company. He will 6 ft fenced yard to keep him safe at home. Ben very smart and was sent to obedience school so he knows all his commands He has learned to sit, down and stay. He takes treats gently and patiently. He would love to have a home with another dog that likes to play and sleep together. Do you have the Heart and Home for this wonderful guy? Ben's adoption fee is $150.00 The adoption fee includes spay/neuter, microchip ID, vaccines including Rabies and Lepto, general deworming, parasite treatment, one month free pet insurance, courtesy veterinarian exam, and post adoption support.
